History

ISA was an offshoot of a colloquium sponsored by the Korea Unesco Cultural Exchange Services (KUCES) in November 1999 which was participated in by 10 foreign women.
In that colloquium, these women talked for the first time ever how is it to have a Korean husband. As expected, inter-racial marriages is not a bed of roses, and it thus underscored the need for these women to form a support network to help and empower themselves.
